About Electrical Engineering The broad umbrella of electrical engineering is involved in some part in almost all modern day technological advances and products in areas ranging across telephony, mobile and satellite communications, fiber optics, electrical power and machinery, instrumentation, computer systems, satellite systems, microelectronics, robotics, graphics, automatic control, and telecommunications to name but a few.

The department has state of the art laboratories containing even the equipments, which are not mandatory as per syllabus namely, Basic Electricity & Electronics lab, Electrical Measurements & Controls lab, Electrical Machines lab, Power Electronics lab, Switchgear and Protection lab etc. The labs contain equipments like all types of AC/DC machines, wide range of Analog & digital meters, phase shifting transformer, static rectifier, different bridges, static & electromechanical relays, control kits, power electronics kits, microprocessors etc. Department is also equipped with a advanced computer center apart from a centralized computer center which houses 34 P4 branded PCs which helps the students to get familiar with modern software's. |

The outcome of this infrastructure can be seen through the projects created
by the students. Some of the projects especially green house automation has
received many national awards. Department is committed towards the

Department also promotes the faculty to update their knowledge through short-term courses, seminars, conferences etc as well as deputes faculty for higher studies. As a faculty, members have also presented research papers at national and international level. |
