Information technology, IT is usually involved in the context of a business and is often used to automate manual tasks as well as improve efficiencies within an organization. By involving computer systems, IT has helped industry reach new markets and apply new services to customers and clients.
          

Information Technology is a key ingredient for businesses trading in the 21 century. Through better use of communication and IT infrastructure, businesses can now open their doors to international markets as well as competition. Its reach cuts across industry segments and geographical locations. This has fueled the need for well-qualified and skilled information technology professionals mainly in computers and telecommunications.

    Departmental Facilities

A computer center is well equipped with a client server based network with 82 nodes and 2 servers facilitating Windows and Linux based operating systems. All are branded P-IV machines. Internet facility is having two broadband connections with 10 MBPS of speed each. A separate internet room for students with 15 machines is attached with library where students can do browsing. Required facilities for taking printouts of students’ work is there.
