How to apply

Candidates are advised to follow the rules for admission to First Year Engineering and rules for direct admission to Second Year Engineering. degree course as published by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharshtra State from time to time. However some of the basic guidelines are given below.

Entry requirement for the first year of engineering

1.   Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate for admission to first year of degree courses in Engineering/Technology:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Obtained a non zero score in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at MHT-CET 2009.

2. Eligibility Criteria for All India (AIEEE Paper-I Qualified) candidates: [for both the Maharashtra Candidates i.e. Type A, B, C, D, E and F            (refer rule no. 3-1) and for the QMS candidates (refer rule no. 3.2)] :

Candidate should he an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std-XII) examination of Maharashtra Slate Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra Slate) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Candidate should have a valid AIEEE Score (i.e. total score should be positive) for the year 2008-2009.

3.  For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota :

Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State having Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement" are eligible for Management Quota (20%) seats. However, they are required to apply separately to the Management of the respective institutes for these seats.

4.  For the Diploma holder candidates :

After admitting candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned at para (1, 2, 3) above, if the vacancies still exists after the cut off date declared by the concerned Government authority, the Principal may admit diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to MSBTE or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks against these vacancies. Such admissions are also as per merit of candidates applied for the particular un-aided college.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in cae of backward class candidates from Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.

OR

Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.

AND

Should have scored non zero score in MH-MCA-CET-2009
