Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Minister for Human Resource Development, Science & Technology and Ocean Development was in the Academy on 29th Dec,2002 for laying the foundation stone of new building 'Computer & Telecommunication Engineering Block'. He appreciated the Academy's efforts to impart quality education to the students. |

"India should not be afraid of any superpower till it has sharp brains with it", Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, was speaking during his speech at Finolex Academy. A chemical engineer by profession he is presently the Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He was here at Finolex academy for the inauguration of Brainwaves-2001, a part of annual day gathering. However he narrated that for Indian brains there is a need to work well as a team as they work as an individual.
Dr.
Mashelkar has won numerous honours and awards nationally and
internationally, some of them being SS Bhatnagar prize(1982), FICCI Award
(1987), Vishwakarma Medal(1988), Pandit Javaharlal Nehru Technology
Award(1993), Goyal prize(1996), Kamal Kumari National Award(1997), Bank of
India Golden Jubilee Award(1998) etc.

During their visit they discussed the issues related to collaboration between Korean universities and Finolex Academy. While looking at various labs, they appreciated the facilities and infrastructure the Academy provides for the students. |
